Arbitration

  • In the event of any dispute between the Professional Architect and the Client, whether arising during or after rendering of the services under the appointment agreement, either party shall give notice in writing to the other party informing of the matter in dispute and requiring its settlement.
  • The parties shall then appoint an Arbitrator
  • If they fail to do so within 14 days of the date of the notice, either party may submit a written request to the President of the Board of Architects to appoint a person to serve as an Arbitrator, whose award shall be final and binding on both the Professional Architect and the Client.
  • Both parties shall be required to remit a payment of MYR 5,000, being an initial deposit towards the cost of arbitration.
